I've been painting this small mural in our new baby's nursery and neither one of us can figure out if it's done or not, I was planning on doing more, adding shadows, but I like the simplicity of this, so I've decided to not do shadows, but I want to know, should the branches have marks on them too? Does it look unfinished if they don't?
I think it needs some fiery orange leaves, man! That baby is going to need bright colors to look at!
Or, yeah...it's done. Although, the smaller the branch gets on a birch, the more black it gets. The really new ones are pretty much entirely black...so...I don't know? ;P
There is gonna be alot of orange in the room actually, orange birds, orange curtains, and other things, we wanted a no leaf tree, but I think what your saying is the conclusion we're coming to, spot up the branches, maybe even make them mostly dark.
